Hi,

There is a section in the regulations concerning winners' prizes at sporting events. It is an agreement between the RJF Amt für Leibesübungen and the RJF Kulturamt from 30.10.1939 which standardises sports awards. It describes 5 levels of certificate ranging from a simple one page "Urkunde" right up to red imitation leather folders (that included the "Jugendmeister" badge in either bronze, silver or gold). Cups like the one from the seller are not mentioned and for an event that happened two years after the order the question has to be asked about whether a high profile event like the Sommerkampfspiele in Breslau would have ignored it and given cups like this to winners (in addition to the folder and in addition to the badge). I don't see that happening and so would agree with you that the cup is likely to be a fantasy.

The sole producer of the certificates/folders was: Firma Druckerei u. Verlag A. Dähler Berlin.

Gary,
Thanks for the reply, and the interesting info.
