    Hi,
this my first post on this page. Hope to get visitors.
As bookcollector and friend of old books I got some very scarce Third Reich Spelling Books. Learning the ABC with Propaganda.
Often used is the HJ in these exemplars.

    Fibel für die Volksschulen Württembergs

Hi thanks for this nice reply.
Here some more pics. The so called "FIBEL" is the first grader reading book to learn the ABC with nice drawings and pictures.
From 1933 on the older spelling books were changed and Nazi propaganda was added. The nazis used swastikas, HJ, BDM, soldieres, cars, planes or other symbols to get the children.
Original books of this time in a complete and good condition are hardly to find. After WWII the books were destroyed or censored.
If someone want to know more about the single books just send me a message

These are treasures, as I am sure you know, Animaniac. You are lucky to have them in your possession. My own spelling is so bad, they would be at about my level.

Hi, thanks for the nice thread.
I got some more spelling books.
Some I own twice. If any body is interested in just send a message.

Here pictures of one of the most propagandistic spelling books from Berlin:
    "Lachendes Leben"

Indeed, Animaniac, I am a bit of a bibliophile and I would be happy to have such an item. They might even improve my penmanship. I shall send a PM to you.

    Hi,

yes, have to do so. German laws do not allow showing swastikas and other NAZI signs.

Here some pictures of Hirt´s Berliner Fibel printed 1940.
