I agree, but unfortunately the M1 list you have posted is wrong. Copied and Pasted as 100% of all the RZM M lists are. Every list ever published in book form or on the net is wrong, contains spelling mistakes, wrong names, and does not contain all the known producers.
Lots we don't know as they are not mentioned, but those that are mentioned should be listed, after all, people are using this for research, and how can it help anyone if it`s wrong.
The M1/ List contained 186 numbers, and not 184.

Thanks for posting the list Jo.

Do you have the M3 list? It seems to be elusive.

  7. #17
...and perhaps the M10 list too Jo?

Dont mean to have a go at you, but i have to correct you here again, the M2 list was not for Sub-contractors per se, as you write, but specifically for Metallabzeichen-Hilfsbetriebe (see Ausgabe # 30 of the RZM Mitteilungsblatt 1935, or insert pic. below) ie: Metal Insignia Helping factories. For example Enamel factories, Silverwashing Factories, Attachments/needles/Pins assembly Producers etc.....

Garry, ... i would have no idea about that, i have only ever been interested in small badges, and the M1 list. All my research has only ever gone into the M1 list. The M2 list greatly interest me, and i am sure that it contained more M2 numbers than the M1.. but is, alas, nowhere to be found. As you see from the cut out below, there are a few early/low M2 numbers mentioned from Insignia helpers, or middle men who lost their M2 number....

    M10

    Hello!

Is it possible that only a very few makers had the M10 license? The list from 1938 is quite small!
