Nice original knife with a re-painted scabbard.

Some fakes are RZM marked on the obverse ricasso but this isn't one of them.

Is there any sign of a motto? Can't really tell in these pics.

Regards

Russ

Thanks so much, Russell. There is no sign of motto. It is RZM and maker marked, but no motto on it.

Thaks for the info, Wilhelm.

Don't you think the blade may have been polished? It looks too bright when compared to the hilt, which shows some wear.

It's a little difficult to tell in the pics but I thought the blade may have been polished, eliminating the motto.

Being dated 1938 means it could have had one originally, but it may also have never had one, both of which would/could be correct for the date.

Regards

Russ

Thanks, Russell. A close look does not reveal any sign of a motto, although the blade looks polished. I do think this one originally had no motto, though.

Thanks again, Russell.
