I came across a newspaper article discussing the changes to membership of the Hitler Youth after the passing of the second youth law in 1939 which made it compulsory for kids to be enrolled into the Hitler Youth. The Hitler Youth was divided into Stamm-HJ (pre-existing members of the HJ and BDM) and the Allgemeine-HJ (new members and almost all of the DJ and JM). Anyway, the newspaper article talks about a Bann eagle patch that was worn by Stamm-HJ male members over the right chest pocket. The reporter must have got that information from somewhere but I don't see it mentioned in the regulations. Does anyone have photos showing the patch or any further information that would confirm its introduction (or otherwise)?

Sorry Garry
I have never heard of or seen anything like this

Thanks B. Perhaps it was a plan that was never put into practice. Hopefully some info will turn up.

I came across an entry in Uniformenmarkt saying that the Bannadler was not actually introduced for this purpose. That explains why we haven't ever seen it on shirts :thumb:
