I was finally able to replicate this photo i own, which i bought years ago. The tinnie was the hardest piece to find. And i believe if you zoom in enough on the boys cap, its is a DJV pin. I have added some other photos from my collection with added insignia to their caps
I would love to see what everyone else has come across !

And your replica is nice!
The rune comes close, but dont see lettering at the period one, but the quality of the photos is perhaps the problem.
 
You can see the same tinnie on the other photo, and with that one you can see the lettering. Comparing the size of both to the hats they are on, im 99% certain the boy is wearing the same tinnie. With a bit of editing, i think you can see a little bit more of the lettering :)

Hi Josh,

thanks for posting these great historical photos, especially the photo the of the HJ badge being worn with the DJV badge and Sigrune tinnie fantastic.
