Hello. You have very beautiful knives, thank you for showing them to us! If possible, I would like to take this opportunity to ask if your early Puma knife has a slight movement of the emblem? I recently acquired exactly the same knife, but it worries me a little that the emblem hardly moves at all. What is your case? If any of the respected participants can say something, I will be sincerely grateful!

Hi,

The diamonds will sometimes move and sometimes they will not. However, whether they move or not is not an indication in itself that the knife is either good or bad. As an aside, I have an early PUMA too and the diamond on that doesn't move either. Some knives have a hard life and if the diamond wasn't fitted properly at manufacture then that combination may well loosen the diamond over time.

Thank you very much for your answer, Garry! I used to think that a small play in the emblem was always proof of the authenticity of a Hitler Youth knife. But studying various forums on this topic, I see that this rule has exceptions. And in this knife, I think we have just such a case. I would really like to see your knife. If it is not difficult for you, can you please post a few photos of your knife? for the purpose of studying the subject. Thank you very much in advance!

My knife is on the forum somewhere ankroma. Hit search, click "post content". Into "keywords" enter "PUMA". Into "Posted by" enter "Garry". That should do it.

I only see a beautiful condition knife.
Early blade, early diamond.

The wear at the diamond is also in places were you would expect it.
Clean brass at surface, dirty brass where it lays deeper.

Early scabbard..

I would like to own it..

yes, i found it. Excellent early knife. At this point, we can say for sure that early Puma knives had a diamond that did not move. by the way, i will leave here a very valuable photo of one disassembled Puma knife. in this photo we will see that the type of fastening in this knife was different from the classic one, and perhaps that is why the diamond sits so tightly.
