Hello
I would like to share this really nice portrait I own a of an early HJ member.
I really like his cap in this, seem to be made of a sort of corduroy material? Ive never seen one of these caps in a collection so was wondering if anyone has any photos to show one on this thread maybe?
Also the piping on his right shoulder seems to go under the board as if it were longer to start with? And explanation would be really helpful.

Thank you

Hi,
I think I can explain that. The very early shoulder straps were very large and in this case here obviously too large for the boy's shoulders, so the end was sewn in and then folded over to fit (as they shouldn't go beyond the shoulder seam).
Nice very early pic, again with Landesfarben/Federal State colours.

Hey stumble69
very nice document with an amazing headdress, maybe from a pre-Hj movement, adapted after 1933 but not regulatory

Thank you for your responses, yeah maybe a pre 1933 cap adapted for HJ use :) thank you
