emergency service badge

hi please can anyone shed some light on this
It reads Bereitschaftsdienst (emergency service ) but what is the DUK on the end .The centre it shows the symbol of a HJ medic but is made is the look of a DRK badge with helper (helfrin) at the bottom any help please ime a bit lost ?????

Hi,

According to the Lebensrune/rune of life, I think that this could be Deutscher Frauenhilfsdienst für Wohlfahrts- und Krankenpflege, subordinated to the NS Frauenschaft.
I haven't found anything on the abbreviation DUK, on DVK (which I think it could just as well be) only Deutsche Verrechnungskasse, which at least doesn't sound completely improbable.
