At this moment the volumes 6 and 7 were published in the series "Headgear of Hitler's Germany".
Volume 8 is in progress and is expected to be published early 2024.

When time is given too me, I will proceed with the volumes 9 and 10, which will be dedicated to
the HJ-organization and its headgear (9), followed by a volume which will include youth at schools
in Germany and their appropriate headgear. It is a long way to go, but this is the plan!!

Hello Wilhelm, thanks for the good news and I will definitely buy volume nine about the Hitler Youth headgear.

Hello WIM ,
These are indeed 2 good news ! The first is to hear from you because you have always been of great help on this forum and secondly, the programming of new works is always a particularly awaited event.

the reason I am not that very often at the forum is, while I am very busy
with working for the headgear series, as in less then 18 months I released
the volumes 6 and 7 and am working for volume 8.

I salute your courage WIM, so many years spent writing and always this determination and tenacity. BRAVO!

I have many summer /winter caps but unfortunately I don't have any photos to offer you, WIM.

thanks. I expect to have enough caps, but for a good book
I need new photos of caps in use. I cannot use again all my
old photos from earlier published books.
I know collectors often hasitate to offer such material, as
they do not want to show around their photographic material
or think about copyright (which any of you hardly will have)!

I have been lucky recently to acquire this cap.
Info given by the seller -

'This is the difficult to find 1933 model. The original owner initially served in a standard HJ unit, at some stage he transfer to the Flieger (flying HJ) and at that time he removed the original red unit piping on his cap and replaced it with blue Flieger piping. Brown body with brown centre band and with blue crown piping. Complete with HJ enamel swastika diamond and early style silver eagle which has only one pin still remaining and complete with correct style black leather chin strap. There is some age marks / stains to the exterior of the hat especially to the crown but it could be cleaned if required. The interior of the hat features the typical political brown cloth lining, the leather sweat band is now missing, it probably just became brittle and so decayed with age. Interesting very early hat belonging to a rare HJ unit and it displays very nicely'

it is possible the one or the other did send me in the past (10-15 years ago)
photographs for use for books. It might be you did, but with some I did
apparently not note the name of the sender.
To inform: when I cannot trace the name, I will later credit the photo as:
via Internet or via WAF or WRF or suchlike.

Just for information!!

Strumble69: your assistance is greatly appreciated.
If more would do the same, the planned books will be great!

Best regards,
wim/wilhelm

My pleasure ! Dont understand why more wouldn't. I dont buy items for them to never been seen and appreciated. The more people that see my photos and enjoy seeing them is what for me collecting is all about.
