Hello guys,

I have a few DJ belt and buckles (complete sets) in my collection.

However this one is my all time favorite and therefore I would like to share it.

I bought it, just thinking it looked good.

When it arrived at my house I studied the buckle closely and discovered it had some markings inside. Then I found out it was marked RZM K.H.22.

The dealer probably didn’t know this because it wasn’t mentioned on his site, nor was there a pic from it.

The belt also got an RZM stamp.

Good evening Pimpf2000,

Welcome to HJ Research. Nice maker marked DJ buckle and belt. Look forward to you posting more of your collection on the forum and joining in the conversations. I too mainly collect DJ items, when I can.

Best regards...Ewan

You're welcome.
The "new" RZM code with Unterabteilung/subdivision and Gruppe/group was announced in the RZM newsletter of 9 March 1935 (here M4/... instead of KH... ), so it allows you to date your buckle.

Thanks a lot for that useful information :) .
I didn’t know that.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for that bit of info, everyday is a learning day on Hj Research.

Cheers...Ewan

Nice find with the KH mark, had some DJ buckles all by maker Assmann, sold them, kept one that has belt with it, post it when have some time.

Here is a later one, already with M4 marking. 27 stands for Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid.

Hi Pimpf2000

You are not alone in liking these DJ belt buckles, especially the early ones are very attractive - I have 2 in my collection - both are in used condition, but it doesn't matter I

The first is a R. Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid - RZM 50.

Thanks a lot for sharing these Michael! :)

I also like them in used condition.

In this case you can be sure someone actually wore them. Imagine where these buckles have all been and what and who they’ve seen!! I wish these buckles had eyes and a mouth, to tell me all about it haha.

Thanks a lot for the link! Beautiful set! :)
thanks, I like to keep everything in display cases, @ Michaels stores there on sale at half price a lot of times. this buckle is steel hard to photograph because everything reflects onto it.
