Good, but cropped, postcard with Baldur von Schirach, sent from a Fähnleinführer (Hellmut Bendrat?) in Königsberg Pr. to a Gefolgschaftsführer (can´t read the name). Does anyone know the sender and / or recipient?

Hi Osvald,

You have deciphered the name quite correctly. Fähnleinführer Hellmut Bendrat in Königsberg/Pr., Unterhaberberg (street) 12a, is the recipient of the postcard.

Text:
Zum Jahreswechsel grüsst die Gefolgsschaft 3 die Kameraden vom Jungvolk.
Heil dem Führer!
(Unterschrift)
Führer der Gefolgschaft 3

The content:
On the occasion of the turn of the year, Gefolgsschaft 3 sends its greetings to the comrades of the Jungvolk.
Hail to the Führer!
(signature)
Leader of the Gefolgschaft 3

The date is also interesting: 31 Julmond 1936.
This is a Germanised name for December: Julfest means the festival of the winter solstice.
However, these designations were only used by very loyal Nazis, the great masses continued to use the usual names.

Hi Jack,

Thank you very much for the information. I guess it´s not easy to find information about such low rank leaders, but still a nice piece of history.
