This example shows that the HJ message shoulder boards were also worn by the HJ rider and that this rider symbol was infected.
This carrying method was not official and was carried out by the units themselves.

I have personally never seen these two shoulder boards in their original form. They were mentioned in 1932, but I don't know if they were ever worn. The image comes from the book "Handbook of the Hitler Youth" and labels the boards as follows.
Left (Silver) Bann Adjudant
Right (Gold) Gebiets Adjudant

Nice, Steve, especially with that Hausmuster.

In case anyone needs a translation:

Shoulderstrap, new style and workmanship, a reference to another sample of this maker, and the date May 1937.

Gebiet 7 - Nord Nordsee in the Gebietsstab (Gebiet staff) 1938 - 1945
Unfortunately, the dark blue of the background fabric doesn't show off so well.

I already have the Oberbannführer in the area staff in this list, but I got this great board from a Bannführer in the area staff and wanted to show them together.

I was lucky that a collector friend from the USA brought it back to me.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but the rarity was worth the money to me.

Isn't it this one?

Hi Aziabelis
I just saw your post and when I've looked into it more closely I'll send you a PM tomorrow with what I find out.

I've never seen that before, a skull and crossbones attached to the straps. My guess is a future SS member of the Streifendienst. Of course, it's an unauthorised thing, but at least 2 members of this unit wore it like that.

That's a great find Jack. I've never seen that before.

I've never seen it before and can imagine that these boys voluntarily joined the SS at the end of the war and fought together.
