For the seiger badge collectors... ratisbons has a 1936 example on the next auction. It is kinda pricey the current bid is around $575.00 U.S. + - 20% (too high for me).

It is also first time for me to see the 1936 badge - and I do not understand why it is so rare.

1934 og 1935 we see very often.

It sold for more than I thought it would @ $1182.88 U.S., I thought it might go for about $450.00 - $600.00. Gotta love the auctions.

Hi crack

What do you mean by "Probably not many survive due to the materials used." ?

I have never had one in my hand, but judged by the pic, it seemed to be god quality metal. Even if it was poor metal quality there should i.m.o. be several thousand pieces left, as it only was a participants badge. BUT it is rare as :mad2:

The amber on the Ratisbons piece I think is a personal additon to the badge.

I don't know why it is so rare, any opinions ?????

I have to learn to slow down when I get excited :001_tt1:

I oversaw just the link to the earlier thread about this badge, so delete this: "The amber on the Ratisbons piece I think is a personal additon to the badge."

Maybe it only a thicker version of the yellow backing plate.

I also came in doubt, is it a participant or finalist badge ?? my source names it participant

Hi Michael, just for participants and officials at the Reichskampf in Hamburg as far as I know.
