Amazing pieces showing on over here.

We are creating an important Data Base here.

so far I have received the Tieste Books (well only Band 1, Band 2 comes when my gf meets me next week) and just making a data base of the HJ Tinnies. amazing.

Next week I will show pics of my new tinnie. Franken 1939, a basic one.

    Regards

    Antonio

Yes, the tinnie is made from a very thin balsa wood. The front has had heat applied to the surface to create the design. The back of the tinnie is just ink stamped.

Personally, I am not 100 percent convinced this tinnie is authentic. The tinnie displays some of the characteristics of the fake tinnies coming out of Eastern Europe. The color appears off, lack of crisp details, and shallower stamping of the text.

Railhouse...thanks for weighing in on this. I purchased it through Manions about eight years ago, long before I started seeing the large numbers of fake tinnies coming out of Eastern Europe. I would bet there are easily a dozen different tinnies that can easily be identified as reproductions. One could probably find five or six at the web auction site gun broker.
