    I wonder if your fourth pic was taken during the uniform ban (ban on the SA 1932)? Interesting photo. Biggest pennants I've ever seen too :)

    Pic 5 looks like one of the shots which show the transitionary period where the HJ was swallowing up the other youth organisations. These new arrivals were permitted a period of grace in which to get hold of a HJ uniform. Nice study of the early forward positioning of the knife in pic 20.

    can you let me know why you think pic 3 maybe transitiinal, (still learning)

    could pic 4 be deutsche jugend marschiert ( pic attached ):

    and i never even noted the size of the pennants

    Pic 4 was the one Steve. A couple of the boys may be wearing the uniforms of other youth organisations. Difficult to tell exactly which from the photos but you do see nice photos like this every now and again with mixed uniforms. Here's one showing a truly transitional boy in the front rank :)
