But the third one I have never seen or heard of before, neither on the Internet nor in other collections.

I have looked in Wim's HJ book and the information fits - Bann B2 belonged to Miesbach until January 1, 1936, when the B Bann numbers disappeared and Bann B2 became Bann 337 based in Bad Tölz. Bad Tölz is only a few kilometers from Miesbach.

I think it is quite a rare tinnie, do any of you know about this tinnie, or have any information about it?

Nice group of tinnies you picked up. Here is my Miesbach example. Unfortunately, it has a non-period pin repair.

As Lahntal point out above, this design was used for other events...Kulmbach and Stendal.

Here are the three pictured together along with the four variants of the 1935 Deutsches Jugendfest and 1937 DJH tinnies.

Hi Jack

Thanks for the info - it makes a LOT more sense with B for Bavaria. I also doubted whether I interpreted it correctly, the one with B for blind

Yes, the B was called "bavarian prefix letter B". You can see in the scan below (Gebietsbefehl Franken IV/1 dated 1.1.1936) how the change from the B Banne and Jungbanne to the standardised numbering system was carried out in that Gebiet.

"2/0 Reorganisation of 1.1.1936
As a result of the standardisation of the HJ, the bavarian prefix letter B is now redundant. The Banne and Jungbanne within the Gebiet are numbered as follows:

Bann 308 is the previous bann B8
Bann 309 etc

363 is the newly raised Bann Gemünden.

Bann B14 is awarded the letter J in commemoration of the Jungsturm of the national socialist movement.

Due to the borders of the Jungbanne being matched to those of the Banne from 1.1.1936 (with the exception of 1/ and 2/333), the Jungbanne are now numbered as follows:

Jungbann 308 encompasses the previous Jungbanne B1/8 and B2/8
etc

The previous Jungbann B1/14 is awarded the designation J in commemoration of the Jungsturm of the national socialist movement.

In case anyone should ever come across a Bann with the B, which according to today's borders is not in Bayern/Bavaria at all: Through succession (the Bavarian branch of the House of Wittelsbach had died out), the Palatinate line took over and a much larger overall state of Kurpfalz-Bayern/Electoral Palatinate-Bavaria was created.

The Nazis had a thing for these old structures, and so there are more Bs than in Bavaria, even though the Kingdom of Bavaria had to relinquish many of these areas when it was founded.
Rheinland-Pfalz/Rhineland-Palatinate was only created after WWII.
