I have only seen this tinnie once before. I wonder what the symbolism is with the leaf and X.

The occasion was the 1100th anniversary of the city of Castrop-Rauxel (actually only of Castrop, but never mind). The X is a St Andrew's cross and has been the town's coat of arms since at least the early 16th century.
And the German Oak is likely to symbolise the steadfast duration of this long period, at the end of which the TR saw itself as a worthy continuation.
