Hello Lauri,
as you can see from your document it is not an insignia specifically for the HJ.
They were already in existance in the twenties, during the Weimar period and
could be archieved by mainly members from the
"Deutscher Schwimmbund"
(DSB), the "
Deutscher Schwimmverband" (DSV) and those from the "
Deutscher
Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft", the well-known DLRG. The insignia was worn by boys,
as well as girls. I have not found out yet, but the lower "Probes/tests" had a more
simple insignia. See the photograph from girls wearing the death-head insignia.

The test was named "
Totenkopfprobe", but by the German population the recipients
were known as
Totenkopfschwimmer and often phrased as such. I will show also a
permission with the three swimming-test names from a member from the Grosses
Militär-Waisenhaus from Postdam. The recipient was a member from the HJ. One
of their members Horst John, archieved: die Totenkopfprobe, the Rettungsschwimmer-
prüfung and had taken courses for the "Lehrschein des DLRG".

Holzwurm: Have no idea for the price, as I do not collect Third Reich items. Maybe some
other person from the HJ-forum will know, but remind it is NOT specifically HJ.
