A march from Dortmund to Nüremberg from the 7th August to the 8th September 1936. You can see the route they took in the last photo. The album is from a boy called Heinz Hehemeir as you can see from the letter saying he has participated in the march. It's also the same name seen on the first page of the book.
An item I will cherish.
Anymore information people can add, would be much appreciated :)

Nice photos - I would say a souvenir book that could be purchased as there are some well documented photos in there - A bit like the AH cigarette card albums Nice memento though (y)

Hi Strumble69,

I can contribute next to nothing on your topic, but there are a small handful of German websites, that fit your query:

Stadtmuseum Köln: https://museenkoeln.de/ausstellungen/nsd_1609_hitlerjugend/

The collections there, a network of many archives from Nordrhein-Westfalen, are very complex, especially in relation to the earlier youth organizations before 1945.

You will find a lot of information and photos there, difficult to survey at first glance, but a research is definitely worthwhile.
There are few current German-language websites on this topic, the above page is one of them.

There are comparable internet portals from other German federal states, but these sites from NRW stand out.

Good luck, for whatever your are searching for..! ;)

In my northern German homeland of Niedersachsen, there is unfortunately no such Internet portal, too little money, too little knowledge, too little of nothing, I don't know, it's pretty pathetic, unfortunately.
At that time there were probably only a handful of confused National Socialists, who wandered aimlessly through the Low German landscape in search of exactly the right victims... ;)

Micha

* If at some point a stone rolls in front of your feet or is in your way, you simply roll this stone away.
Our ancestors shattered these stones into nothing, less than dust.
And that's exactly what I'll never be able to understand, this ruthlessness, this destruction.
As a grandson and great-grandson, I will never understand them all, sometimes they call this the "Deutsche Schande", I have no answer...

Legendary jack, thank you

Thanks Strumble.

I can well imagine that the booklet was commissioned by the area leadership as a souvenir gift. It looks quite ambitious, and the circle of participants is of a manageable size.

The signature doesn't look printed to me either (you can see deeper impressions of the steel nib to the left and right of the ink track). But you would have to look at it more closely with very high magnification or even a microscope.
