1932? Is that a chinstrap on his cap? How common was that style of cap? Thanks

It really looks like a chinstrap on his cap . Until now I haven´t noticed a DJ cap having a chinstrap but in the Third Reich there were many uncommon things that surprise us again and again. Here another DJ cap for comparison.

Thanks Blackwatch1 . I just found another pic of a DJ cap that looks similar to the boys hat. Please compare. But it really seems that the hat got a chinstrap - maybe sewn on by a caring mother so that the son doesn't lose the cap.
