Hello all,
I'd like to share a new postcard in my collection. I have never seen one like it before and never knew about the Artaman League. After doing some research on this movement, I find the history fascinating. You never stop learning, and this is why I find history so fascinating and interesting!

A brief history on the artamen league for anyone who also wants to learn -
The Artaman League was a German youth movement founded in the 1920s that promoted ruralism, nationalist ideals, and a return to traditional farming life. Influenced by völkisch ideology, it rejected urbanization and modern industrial society, instead idealizing the “pure” German peasantry. Several of its members, including Heinrich Himmler and Rudolf Höss, later became high-ranking figures in the Nazi Party. The League’s emphasis on racial purity, anti-Semitism, and agrarian living closely aligned with the ideological goals of the Hitler Youth, which later absorbed many of its principles and members after the Artaman League was dissolved in the 1930s. As a result, the League helped shape the rural romanticism and racial doctrine that were central to the Hitler Youth’s education and training, reinforcing Nazi visions of Lebensraum and Aryan supremacy.
