Hello Willi , you found the forum .
Thank you for joining sir . It`s Joe from Facebook

The issue I have with this visor is that I dont believe there was a specific branch color dedicated to the Reiter HJ . ( I could be mistaken and if so I do apologize ) .

The Reiter HJ did have a qualification patch insignia and as far as I know the only basic uniform dress was the riding breeches that were reinforced with leather on the trunk and inner thigh areas . As well as spurs worn with riding boots .
It is also documented that some Reiter HJ did utilize the crossed lance with pennants insignia on their shoulderstraps .

Hello joe, thanks for your answer.

I bought it from weitze as a Reiter Hj leader cap.
Possibly its nachrichten hj, its also yellow.

Joe is right. There never was a colored piping especially for Reiter-HJ.
Weitze often makes hughe mistakes with the description of items.
Nachrichten had yellow, onm the hand the cap is okay!

Officially it was not even allowed to form a "HJ-Reiterschar" or
"Reitergefolgschaft". With orders from the RJF from March 21, 1934
already existing units had to be disbanded, but were allowed to remain
as a specialized unit within general HJ srructures.

I have some conserns with the visor itself . The piping on the cap that is shown in post #1 is yellow not metallic gold but with a black velvet band . The black velvet band would designate an Oberstammführer to Stabsführer rank which would have metallic silver piping on the visors crown and above and below the black band for Oberstammführer to Hauptbannführer and the same but with metallic gold for Gebietsführer to Stabsführer . My consern is the three piping bands are yellow and from what I have studied the visors of HJ full Leaders from Febuary 1936 had metallic piping . If it were for a Signals mid level leader after September of 1938 , the yellow piping would just be around the crown and the band would be political brown with silver piping above and below the band . So this visor has me a bit confussed .
