What do you think of this badge? I could get it but I'm not sure if it's an original. It gives me the impression that the needle was attached again later. The seller wants 1000, - € for the badge. Is that OK?
Unfortunately, I could not make better pictures in a hurry.

Hi,

These were discussed here and in a couple of other threads and to my knowledge there is no evidence that this badge existed in any other metal than 535 gold. There is an argument (Christopher Ailsby) that these are cheaper dress pieces but no evidence has ever been offered to support that assumption and you'll see Ailsby crumbling when asked to provide some on the thread that I linked. Jo posted a badge similar to the one in your post here. Has the seller offered any provenance for the badge?

You`ll need $7`000-$10`000 today to buy an original. If you can find one.

Thank you very much for pointing to the thread. So a well-known copy.
I am glad that this forum exists and people who rely on facts and not only on statements of others. Many thanks for the help.
