Hi there,

I found this flag.
Does anyone have any info about it?
Is it worth something?

Thanks in advance!

Willem

Finding the location could be possible if someone has a spare week to click through this page for the location represented by the lion : Germany - Wappen - Coat of arms - crest of Germany

Otherwise it is (obviously) a non-standard pennant which seems to use the colours of the german flag black/white/red that were in use prior to the introduction of gold/red/black flag after WWI. black/white/red which was liked by nationalists who felt that the new german flag represented humiliation in WWI. There are facts that can be read into the pennant I suppose so this may well be an authentic early HJ pennant.

I have searched in the 'coat of arms'. I have seen hundreds :).
Some say this is nordic?

Hi,

Possibly it has something to do with the city of Barmen (since 1929 part of Wuppertal). The coat of arms is quite similar, and those strands of yarn under the lion's feet are rather unique I think.
