Not sure if anyone on the forum has one but I found a nice bit of background info on this tinnie and thought I would post it for future reference.

The tinnie was for the HJ Gebiet-level summer camp in 1943 and is the result of a competition to decide on a design for it. The competition was announced in June 1943 and the results were published a month later on the 1st of July. The winner was the Fähnleinführer of Fähnlein 26/508, Jungzugführer Herbert Fritscher, who received a book for his efforts.

Interesting info, thanks! Hadn't seen that one before. I wonder if they were painted when new?

No idea to be honest. There doesn't appear to be even the slightest trace of paint though so perhaps they were originally just bare metal.
