I bought this Hitlerjugend honour badge in gold. RZM M1/52 Deschler & Sohn. Badge number B 10172.
Is there a way to find out to which person this badge was awarded?
I don't yet have that badge number in my lists but I'm always looking for evidence so hopefully I'll find a name in time. Nice badge by the way. Serial number 10051 isn't too far away from yours and was awarded to a chap in Berlin so it is possible that yours was also awarded in the city but I'll need to find a few more badges either side of yours to be sure.
Your badge was awarded to the holder in 1935 and that original badge would have been an RZM 15 Hofstätter. The Deschler replacement that you have there is marked in accordance with the regulations pre-1940 (B for replacement and with the original award serial number). This is nice as from 1940 onwards the serial number was no longer applied to these badges.
