Hi everybody,

Yesterday I've bought my first HJ knife. I know it is a genuine piece but I've never seen this kind of button.
Has anybody seen such a button?

Kind regards,

Sean

Hi Sean

You do not write what you think is special with your button.

If it is the color, I just think that the black paint has been worn of.

If you think of the size, I can tell you that not all buttons has the same size. I have 6 HJ-knifes in my collection and the 3 of them has buttons measuring 12 mm in diameter and the other 3 measures 14 mm. I guess, that your button is 14 mm ??

If it is another question you have, just write back again.

Hi Michael,

I was referring to the colour.
All other buttons I've seen has kept their colour, therefore it is a bit strange for me to see discoloration.

Even the seller, who is already active for 40 years in his trade, hasn't seen this kind of discoloration. Maybe there was a period when they used a different kind of paint or an other material for the button...
