HJ knife with bowie blade - original?

I recently buy this hj dagger.

The blade is bowie.

Do you think that’s an original ?Thank you

I find it a bit strange and wouldn't want it in my collection.
But that's not a statement from me that it's a fake.
It doesn't fit with the usual knives.

An ostensibly later high-ricasso HJ knife with a bowie blade, no motto (so post-1938) but no RZM marking? Nope. This can't be a period item in my opinion.

It does indeed have that but I still don't like the knife. I do know that a few collectors believe that WKC produced HJ knves like this (albeit without the fuller groove that yours has) but they have no proof that this was the case. One popular opinion is that these knives were "late-war...only by WKC" (again, without the fuller groove) but this opinion is based on the construction of the knife only i.e. they are simply describing what they see. Production of the HJ knife ceased in 1943.
