Greetings!

Would like some opinions regarding the originality of this HJ pole top. The piece is not marked. These are the only photos that I have at the moment.

Best regards,
Bill

Here is a similar one that was on a dealers website a few years ago .

From the photos it looks like a good one...pictures of the inside of the socket would help. That being said if the price was right I would add it to my collection of toppers.JMHO

Another one, but with some strange symbols.

Hi

I have one that looks the same. Mine is pole mounted and the pole/topper combination seems genuine to me. Good quality but slightly marked which you would expect for its age and use.

So I would say yours looks good.

One thing I have on mine are some strange engraved/stamped symbols at the base of the collar. Can you see if your's have the same?

Anyone else out there help with the symbols? I have looked through lists of runes and symbols but cannot find any equivalent (although I am sure I have see one or two before). Why would they be on this pole topper?

Peter

From the photos posted above, I am certain that this is a reproduction. Overall finish is very rough. Arms of the swastika on the front are a different width than the arms on the back. Lots of excess material around the swaz. Details are not crisp. Grind marks on the socket. Excess material in the socket. etc.....

Best regards,
Bill

Bill, thanks for the additional photos. I agree with you it looks to be a copy with all those casting flaws. That is the first copy of that pole top that I have seen.
Regards,
Mike
