Printed text on red and white ribbon, replaced pin (assumed)

I have purchased this one, but haven't received it yet. The photo was taken by the previous owner.

A similar Tinnie sold in Europe last year. I was not fast enough. I have no specimen of cloth in my collection. :Cry:

Thanks for posting Eric. It's in great shape. I can now see how the pins were originally attached.

Hi Mark,

the former "Abzeichen" for sure contemporary, the pin for attachment is a typical newer "safety pin" (G: ("Sicherheitsnadel"), most likely as a later replacement for the missing original pin.
The original fastening pins were usually nickel-plated, the later "safety pins" almost always bright chrome-plated.

These old cloth badges are rare, due to the way they were made at the time, were considered worthless and discarded in earlier years.
