Hi Joe,

Welcome to the Hj Research forum. I am no expert on caps however looked at many caps on this forum they both look like Post war German army ?
You need to post a photo of the rear of the metal HJ badge, this will show if period or fake ie pin/plate and makers name/ maker RZM code. Us the drop down menu Uniforms for info on caps etc and for the HJ diamond use the drop down menu Insignia metal. Have fun.

the dark brown cap is from US army and the other is from the Bundeswehr, as for the insignia it is a bad copy I think

The cap is a US ARMY officer's cap with yellow and black edging.
