This book was just released and thought it might be worth a quick read. Not sure how reflective it will be regarding the issues of his rather checkered (to say the least) history. At least the title itself seems to recognize that issue. It was cheap enough on Kindle however so took a chance ......

James Atwood authored one of the seminal dagger reference books; The Daggers and Edged Weapons of Hitlers Germany (1965). The book has a number of errors and includes fake and fantasy items. This would include the fantasy BDM knives as just one example. Mr. Atwood has also been accused of manufacturing daggers from parts, creating fantasy pieces and designs and other questionable activities.

Another example of a faker similar to Ailsby. I put him in the league with T.W. and Johnson as far as daggers go. He had great knowledge but then veered down the path of vetting crap and then outright forgery just as they have.
