On 2.9.1938 a series of sleeve patches for HJ medical personnel (doctors, chemists, dentists etc) was introduced. These were of a blue material with hand-stitched embroidery using aluminium thread as you'll know. Here is a nice example for a doctor (Pic 1 Pic 2). Anyway in mid-1944 these were all discontinued in favour of more simple versions on black cloth with silver-coloured thread. The order (Reichsbefehl 15/44) states that the blue patches could continue to be worn until they needed to be replaced so I'm guessing that the new versions will not often have been used but I'm wondering whether anyone has seen one of the 1944-pattern patches.
