I am fairly new to the forum and recently purchased a group of militaria items via auction listing. There was an HJ cap in the group but due to the limited/poor photos, I didn't consider it when making the bids/purchase (I assumed it was bad, vice genuine and was focused on other items). When the package came in the mail - everything in it looks good/legit.
The Hat? ... well, it is in very nice condition. Blue piping, so I assume fleiger. There is a size stamp inside, and underneath the sweat band, there is in fact an RZM tag. It seems obvious to me that his hat was not worn and well cared for. I have seen high quality copies in my time of other 3rd Reich caps, but never one with an RZM tag like this one, tucked away under the band. I have to figure out what I actually have, before I decide what to do with it.
Can you guys offer your advice/opinions? I am attempting to attach pictures - Dan
