Hi guys,

I found this belt with a glued RZM tag which I have neve seen before - and I'm not quite convinced of its authenticity.

The belt's material: leather replacement (late war?).
Supposed maker: L 1/38 (so at least it's a correct category).

Did anyone come across such kind of tag? Any opinion is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Regards
Jack

As far as I know the maker and RZM code on HJ and DJ belts was applied using metal stamps like this example.

Of course you are right about that crack. But I haven't seen those regulation RZM codes after 1941 or 1942 (LX/XX/41) on belts or cross straps. So I wonder what happened thereafter? Did every maker still follow the instructions ...?

Good point. Not sure about that. I just assumed they would continue stamping them but yes, possible that paper labels were used.

It's only an attempt of explanation. When spotting a 1943/1944 RZM stamped leather equipment my nice little theory is going to be thrown directly into the dustbin .
