Hello,
I'm asking triangle enthusiasts this question.
I own a few triangles, and one thing tells me I should ask: my two BDM triangles are very soft to the touch,
while the HJ ones have a firmer, stiffer fabric. Why?

Hi,
That's nothing unusual. Washing and wearing softens the fabric, which isn't the case with unworn triangles. If they're left unused for over 80 years, the fabric becomes stiff and hard.
I hope this answer was helpful.

Thanks Steve
Indeed, after checking other triangles, the difference between new and used is firm for unworn ones, and flexible for use but still in good condition.
