It’s fair, it’s not the right tag but it’s not the first time I’ve observed this kind of practice.
Probably the manufacturer no longer had the right model available

The tag itself looks okay, en why should anyone put a BDM etiket in a HJ mutze? Does not increase price of the set. But if original, then it is a rare tag!

I have no other explanation unfortunately, other members will undoubtedly be able to confirm but you raise a particular point which is the price of the RZM tax

the first such cap turned up in 1974 or so.
No explanation for that, but the manufacturer may have had no other tags to put in.
This was officially not allowed but noted by the RZM.
I think in total I have seen now four of them, but cannot remember the manufacturers
number.

I have been offered this cap by a pro collector and he said its okay. Im happy with the cap but the issue i have is the tag. Why is it not a HJ,DJ tag and did they have these or is it a replacement. All opinions are helpful. Thank you all !!

Is not a BDM tag. Here is one in clear condition. It does say BDM but its a DJ sidecap

this is a tag as used within DJ as well as BDM headgear.

mine was missing a part
