I got these unique shoulderstraps on ebay a few weeks ago .I believe that these had to be worn by some sort of sporting official . Diffently youth related from an organization absorbed into the DRL around 1936.
When I got the straps , they had had the pips removed . You can see that the bottom row holes are more prominate than the top . I looked into my junk box of spare braid , cyphers and pips and found 4 good pips with silver wash appropriate to the 1930s period that go well with them and applied them to the straps . And for those skeptical members out there .... No , they do not glow or melt .
