The seller listed both of these as HJ , but I have serious doubts about that statement.., actually let me rephrase that…

I wouldn’t even touch that horrible brown thing with a stick. 😂
But who knows , I’m far from an expert when it comes to headgear and maybe I missed something , so I figured it won’t hurt anyone to ask for opinions.

The (very dark blue) schiffchen though convinced me more that it might have a chance , but I don’t think it’s HJ , marine maybe ?

What do you guys think ?

you are right to be suspicious, the canvas cap is undoubtedly of civilian manufacture and even from the 1920s-1940s but in any case not HJ or pre-HJ, as for the cap it is of the style used by numerous groups of all political origins /religious during the 1930s.(but not DJ)
