I think it should be mentioned that not all districts had that many Oberbanne in early 1934.
For those interested I specifiy:
Obergebiet 1 - Ost:
Gebiet 1 (Ostland) had four of them. No 5 and 6;
Gebiet 2 (Kurmark) had five of them. No 6;
Gebiet 3 (Berlin): had five of them. No 6;
Gebiet 4 (Schlesien): had three of them. No 4, 5 and 6;
Obergebiet 2 - Nord:
Gebiet 5 (Ostsee): had 3 of them. No 4, 5 and 6;
Gebiet 6 (Nordmark): had also 3 of them. So as Gebiet 5;
Gebiet 7 (Nordsee): as before;
Gebiet 8 (Niedersachsen): as before;
Obergebiet 3 - West:
Gebiet 9 (Westfalen): had six Oberbanne;
Gebiet 10 (Ruhr-Niederrhein): had also six Oberbanne;
Gebiet 11 (Mittelrhein): had three. So, no 4, 5 and 6;
Gebiet 12 (Westmark): had first three, but number 4 was added
Gebiet 13 (Hessen-Nassau): had five of them. No 6;
Gebiet 14 (Kurhessen): had only 2 Oberbanne. No 3, 4, 5 and 6;
Obergebiet 4 - Mitte:
Gebiet 15 (Mittellland): had just 2. No 3, 4, 5 and 6;
Gebiet 16 (Sachsen): had five. No number 6;
Gebiet 17 (Thüringen): had three. No 4, 5 and 6;
Obergebiet 5 - Süd:
Gebiet 18 (Franken): had four Oberbanne. No 5 and 6;
Gebiet 19 (Hochland): had three of them. No 4, 5 and 6;
Gebiet 20 (Württemberg): had four of them. No 5 and 6;
Gebiet 21 (Baden): had three. No 4, 5 and 6.
Independent Gebiet:
Gebiet 22 (Deutsch-Österreich): had three. No 4, 5 and 6.
Maybe HJ collectors will now better understand. In most districts
there were not much as four Oberbanne, let it be
Oberbann 5 and 6.
Six Oberbanne only had the districts
Westfalen and
Ruhr-Niederrhein.
It would have been a great sight, seeing all those colors with the
pipings for the visored caps (but many boys did not even have a cap),
and above all the
arm-patches when there was a meeting at Westfalen
or Ruhr-Niederrhein and there were members from all Oberbanne.
This will be obvious now!!
