Today arrived 2 superb photos for my collection. Now usually I'm pretty much OK when identifying HJ, including Ausland but these photos have really got me scratching my head. I know I have seen the buckle before but I can't remember where. The Armband looks printed so you would think its early yet the Uniforms etc look later (I maybe wrong), The badge I don't recognise.
Any ideas people? My first thoughts were maybe one one of the elite schools outside Germany but that is just a guess. Of course no shoulder straps or Triangles to help us out and no writing on the back. Any ideas any help would be great.

Hello Edd,

I think the same as you, these photos show the youth based abroad.
I am convinced that Mr Wim Saris could give us the answer quickly. :neth

Hi Edd

Now I do not have the necessary time to look through the forum, but I think I can remember that the printed armbands are NOT early but late. It would then fit with your assessment that uniforms are late.

I'm definitely not sure I'm right, but I hope you yourself have time to find out.

Hi Michael,

for information, there were also printed armbands for the early period .....!
It is for this reason that the subject is not easy to clarify.

Thanks Michael,

The consensus and all the photos I have tend to show the printed armbands in the early days. Latvian Flakhelfer certainly also had printed armbands but a different design.

I do have a photo of a Hungarian boy from the Hungarian NPEA (with a boy from the AHS at a KLV in Hungary and his jacket looks the same, no shoulder straps but he is wearing a triangle and has the Hungarian HJ Armband. Unfortunately we can't see his buckle and he is wearing shorts

It is anyway abroad, but at the moment I do not know exactly from where.
I have also photos with this type of buckle, but no time to find out what it
exactly is. Maybe later!
