And here is the brown leather belt that goes with it (or not).
The leather has no marking apart from the length 100.
Question:
Was the leather originally brown or black to go with my buckle?

Hi,

Originally the belts were brown for the HJ but an instruction to change the colour to black was published in November 1936. By Jan 1937, all HJ belts had to be black:

Anyone know if HJ buckles use pull tabs and if so black or brown.Thanks
