A bit "exotic" but perhaps authentic nonetheless.

Hello Bertl,
again an interesting board which I have not seen before. But I know where You got this and the other pictures from. I just wonder - have You ask for permission of the site owner? Because it is statet so and to publish pictures without permission is against the law as I see it. Just something to think of.
Best regards,Thomas

does any person ever ask permission? NO!!!!!
People use what they think they can use, and
will never ask the copyright holder or author.

The golden pips, Litze and button suggest Marine to me, especially as it is difficult to say whether the base colour is not blue.

Thank you Thomas for this remark.
I was authorized by the site to publish these photos, sorry if it displeases the buyer of these pieces. My only goal is to show rare pieces on this specialized forum.I have already published other photos from other websites, always with authorization.
On the other hand, I think that many people publish photos without being authorized and without that there would be a lot of things that we would never see.
Greetings

Jack
These are exactly the thoughts that came to me first when I saw this piece !

It's not generally against the law to take pictures from a site and post them elsewhere. Although I understand why they do it, forum owners cannot simply demand that and make out that to do otherwise is unlawful - especially when it is member content that is being taken and not their own. That forum would have to employ a lawyer who would need to show that loss or harm had been caused and simply showing the strap on this forum is not enough. It was posted here for discussion and that is "fair use". Bertrand was also very honest and actually asked before he posted the photo here which is, as I'm sure you'll agree, a rare and very commendable action.

I add a virtual watermark to all photos posted on this forum because that is essentially all I can do to protect member content but I have seen many photos from here on other forums where the watermark has been cut out. As Wim says, most people think that if something is on the internet it's fair game but if nothing actually criminal is being done then there is little that a forum owner, or anyone else for that matter, can do.

A great board and I would also guess navy. It's just hard to say if the background is blue or black.
