    just curious as i havent seen many but how is the makers name put on....is it stamped or etched like the motto...sorry if its a silly question but if you never ask etc

    Blut und Ehre etching

    In early 1937, the motto Blut und Ehre! (Blood and Honor!) began to be etched on early knife blades, but this practice was abolished and later knives were produced with plain blades. Why was it abolished? I cant find any info on this. Cheers Nick

    hi i received my hj knive, my hj collection grows up. no motto, but the marker is WMW 2013 Admin Edit for info purposes: WHW Waffenfabrik Max Weyersberg marked blades with an inked rubber stamp. These knives can be encountered with years between 1939 and 1942

    my recent finds

    Went to my local flee market wednesday morning and came out with these three HJ daggers, 2 with motto and an M7/31 rzm type. mottos have gone to time and two had postwar scabbards but the price was right. Last scan is my total finds that morning, cheers pete.:001_cool:
