M7/11 Transitional in such as it has the RZM & Maker Mark but no Motto Dated 1938 LFS marked hanger Finger guard is interesting as its bent over really tight, perfect for a HJ member no good for an adult today :001_tt1: Another old ebay pickup i believe:h

just curious as i havent seen many but how is the makers name put on....is it stamped or etched like the motto...sorry if its a silly question but if you never ask etc

In early 1937, the motto Blut und Ehre! (Blood and Honor!) began to be etched on early knife blades, but this practice was abolished and later knives were produced with plain blades. Why was it abolished? I cant find any info on this. Cheers Nick

hi guys my first alloy hj buckle came in post in friday and have a few pictures its marked rzm m4/24. i thought it good as it has some honest looking ware to the motto on the front. any comments welcome

hi i received my hj knive, my hj collection grows up. no motto, but the marker is WMW 2013 Admin Edit for info purposes: WHW Waffenfabrik Max Weyersberg marked blades with an inked rubber stamp. These knives can be encountered with years between 1939 and 1942

I've read and heard stories from quite a few collectors about how they shake an HJ knife to see and hear if the diamond rattles or moves. If it doesn't move, they put it back down and move on, thinking the knife to be a reproduction. It is quite possible that people who do this could well be...

The earliest dated HJ with a zinc hilt that I've seen so far is 1938. If you have an HJ with a zinc hilt and it's dated, please show it here (any date). I would like to find out if there are any examples with an earlier date than 1938. I would like to exclude any G. Gräfrath, RZM M7-30-1936...

Went to my local flee market wednesday morning and came out with these three HJ daggers, 2 with motto and an M7/31 rzm type. mottos have gone to time and two had postwar scabbards but the price was right. Last scan is my total finds that morning, cheers pete.:001_cool:
