I have always assumed that the HJ-Streife CT was just a variant of the standard "HJ-Streifendienst" CT but it would appear from the regulations that it is a late-war item introduced after the restructuring of the HJ-Streifendient in Aug 1943/44. The orders state that "HJ-Streifendienst" CTs...
Hi , guy ! Hallo from France, Paris!
I have not visited this forum since my last purchase of a Malta cross HJ shovel.
Unfortunately, those items in my collection of European shovel are very rare.
This time , I would like you to help me identify the possibly know small shovel of manufacturer A.B...
This pair is really odd. Currently up at Rastibons. Here is the descriptor from the site.
"DJ flag top finial & shoulder boards[/h] Very unusual flag top finial and pair of shoulder boards. Both look to be crafted and...
Well, just laughable really that a dealer can get something this simple so dreadfully wrong. Unless of course... he is deliberately and with premeditation ripping people off?
You can read the misery in full http://www.regimentals.co.uk/viewphoto.php?shoph=65892&phqu=6"]regimentals co...
I noticed this one on another forum. These should have seven rings for attaching to the pole. The clips suggest an early flag perhaps but the corner patch is the later standard type that would not normally be found on a flag without the seven rings. What do you guys think about this flag?
I paid $15 a piece for these ... however ; rare photos of Youth wearing rare insignia outside the Reich .
Notice the non standard wintermutze in wear .
Hi, I'm a New Zealand writer working on a novel based at the end of the Second World War. I have seen a lot of mentions of kit inspections for Hitler Youth but haven't managed to find a list of what was actually in a kit. Anyone have any ideas? I understand that the HY were presented with a...
A thread on a knife tag prompted me to visit Wittmann's site and once again he is selling the badgeless "DJ" knife (sometimes known as the "BDM" knife). The subject isn't new but when these knives start appearing again after an absence it is always worth reiterating past discussions. Anyway...
Hello all. Recently acquired this BDM cufftitle from kpemig and wondering what you all think? I've seen a few other personal made CT's and to me it seems to be correct by close comparison.
In the linked thread below, if you scroll down a few short posts to the bottom is a good photo posted by...
I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the identity and authenticity of this patch. It measures about 3 1/2" high. If real, what is its approximate value? Thanks.
Admin Edit: thread title amended.
Hey Everyone,
I was looking around online and I noticed only some of the many Hitler Youth awards out there can be found in their original presentation boxes. I've looked through a lot of old threads here and found out that the standard Hitler Youth membership pins did not come in presentation...
Three different versions of the HJ armband visible in this early photo:
You can see small HK (left), a roundel (second from left) and the standard type (right).
Hello everyone, this is a very interesting Hitler Youth knife. It has been modified to look more like a standard fighting knife. These modifications appear very old leading me to believe that they were done during the war. The blade appears to be transitional from 1936.The cross guard seems to...
Here are three of my Hitler Youth diamond membership pins. Two are standard fish scale enamel one is a late war painted version. These were some of the first I added to my collection. They are some of my favorites.
Hello,
I'm a relatively new collector of Hitler Youth items and have currently only made a few purchases with my limited knowledge. Primarily I collect the diamond insignia pins and knife gems of the Hitler Youth. However, there are two that I have in my collection that concern me where...
Following on from this discussion I just wanted to ask members whether they have come across any evidence for the period existence of green/white drums being used by Landjahr musicians. Certainly as far as the regulations go, I can't see these being mentioned. There is an order dated 30.9.1938...
Just acquired this photo which shows a delegation of HJ Leaders meeting the Secretary of the Italian Fascist Party at the National Fascist HQ in Rome 1939. What's nice to see is the Uniform Combination of the Standard HJ Jacket complete with White Cap, White Trousers, White Gloves and White...
