But for your records, JF: His name is Gedick, he joined the HJ on 15 March 1934. An interesting DOB...

The 1939 address book lists him as a carpenter's apprentice.

According to this document, the shoulder straps of this Hj would be sand-colored with the number 41 (bann) and the Roman numeral 1 (unterbann) and gefolgschaft 1 (button) but what would be the color of the Litze?
Gebiet 1 (Ostland) had four Oberbanne:

Oberbann 1 Altpreußen
Oberbann 2 Memelwacht
Oberbann 3 Masuren
Oberbann 4 Danzig-Westpreußen

If you look at the location of Tilsit as a border town to the Memelland, which was lost after WWI, and also located directly on the Memel river, then it can only be Oberbann Memelwacht.
