I have just seen this on a UK Auction site described as a BDM Carry case. I wonder what members think of this, is it genuine or a fake/fantasy piece. I have never seen one before. Thanks

Hi,

The correct description by the seller should be "carrying case with the letters BDM and a Hitler Youth diamond". There was no such thing as an official "BDM carrying case" so this item is nothing more than a civilian item that was modified at some point.
 
Not for my collection!
Seen many cases with paint drawings, looking old.
Perhaps it is period, but much too easy to fake.
I would never buy such a thing.
 
Looks like a toy suitcase my sister had (she was born 1957).

indeed! it might also be a period modified civilian item like garry said, big chance it's a fake though.
