Interesting aritcle in the Fall 2009 Bender magazine "Military Advisor" by Clyde Davis. He corrects a statement in the "Handbook of the Hitler-Jugend" by W. P.B.R. Saris.
In the article, Clyde Davis states that wear of the cuffbands with gold lettering and gold traditions stripes for certain leaders of the BDM was required whereas in the book it is stated that gold lettering/tradition stripes was not permitted.
The article is fairly long but very informative. I recommend it to those interested in this area. Interesting rank badges are shown. Apparently no cuffbands in gold exist today or are unknown to Davis although photographs in wear are provided.
