I had a double-take there But I see a little fold in the sleeve which will be obscuring the "t" in "Ost" and the "li" in Berlin so that triangle is Ost Berlin. The boys Jungbann is probably 37.

Anyway "Ost Bern" would not make a sense. Maybe " South Bern" - but Gary already gave the the most plausible reply. But in the first moment
it surprised me - very nice photo !
